A Tribute to mila bug
To Mila's Tribe,
The last four years have been both the hardest and most beautiful of my life. Your hope and encouragement fueled my race to save Mila, and your love and compassion have helped me prepare for what was to come. The pain of no longer being able to hold Mila in my arms, to rest my cheek against hers, is unbearable. But I do feel peace knowing that her spirit is no longer trapped in the pain and prison of this life. I am learning to find Mila in the trees, in the hummingbirds, in the stillness of my bedroom at night.
I would be incredibly grateful if you shared any thoughts or memories about how Mila’s life may have intersected with yours in some way. A short video taken with your phone would allow me to feel the personal connection (otherwise an audio clip, message or mailed letter works too). These will just be for us, not public. Mila’s story continues… she will be with me, riding on my back, as our next chapter of life begins and our fight for a brighter future for children with genetic disease continues.
